Job summary

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) invites applications for the faculty positions of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department. The roles focus on developing, delivering, and evaluating a broad range of courses across diploma, degree, and graduate programs, with emphasis on applied and experiential learning and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering or closely related field from an internationally recognized institution.
• Minimum five years of academic experience after the PhD.
• Minimum three years of industrial experience related to the field.
• Competency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ability to use educational technology and platforms.
• Demonstrate academic and information literacy skills.
• Commitment to applied and experiential learning as pedagogy.
• Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative and collegial with learners, colleagues, and industry.
• Experience in leadership and innovation in technology-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate courses within Chemical Engineering and related programs.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise final year/capstone projects.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions and participate in industry advisory committees.
• Engage in instructional and new program development.
• Support research and innovation in applied settings.
