Job summary

AECOM in Doha is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support planning, scheduling, coordination, monitoring, and reporting for airport construction and fit-out projects. You will work with the Project Manager, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure activities are properly planned and progress is accurately tracked.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects.
• Ability to prepare and maintain project schedules and progress trackers.
• Strong reporting, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of airport projects.
• Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules, baseline programmes, lookahead programmes, and progress trackers.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule risks.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to collect progress updates.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings and action trackers for timely closure.
• Monitor critical path, milestones, and project deliverables.
• Assist in preparing recovery programmes and mitigation plans for delays.
• Coordinate with Document Control to track project documents, submissions, and approvals.
• Support project meetings through agenda prep, progress presentations, and action follow-up.
• Provide regular schedule and progress updates to the Project Manager and management team.
