Job summary

Qatar Airways Group seeks a Lead Engineer for Qatar Executive to ensure airworthiness of QE aircraft in compliance with QCAA and QR standards. You will supervise maintenance activities, release work to standard, and optimize resources for safety and efficiency, while coordinating with OEMs and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6 years of related experience, QE aircraft type authorization, and ICAO/EASA licensing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 6 years of related experience.
• Licensed engineer with QE aircraft type authorization.
• Recognized diploma in aircraft trade.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals.
• Solid knowledge of air legislation.
• ICAO mechanical or avionics license, preferably EASA.
• Aircraft type rating for at least one QE operated/planned type.
• Experience supervising line and base maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage resources for optimal maintenance and shift coverage.
• Authorize and release work to meet QE standards and safety.
• Review procedures and tools to improve efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors to resolve defects affecting operations.
• Provide training and succession development within QE maintenance teams.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented per QE and TPM/CPM procedures.
• Support other QE departments with maintenance work packages.
