Job summary

Intrepid in QA is seeking an Electrician – Section Lead for an on-site role at Al Udeid Air Base. The position combines hands-on electrical work with leadership responsibilities to support mission readiness and comply with base requirements.

The role requires leading a team of electricians, planning daily tasks, reading electrical drawings, and ensuring safety and quality in maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems across the site.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems.
• Master or Journeyman license required.
• Ability to read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards; familiarity with BEC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a section of electricians performing electrical maintenance and repair work.
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, base and host-nation standards.
• Perform and review preventive maintenance inspections and corrective actions.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Coordinate work with other trades, supervisors, and base representatives.
• Enforce safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain records, work orders, and maintenance reports.
