Swan Global in Doha, Qatar is seeking a certified mobile/tower crane operator to safely operate cranes for lifting, moving and positioning heavy materials at the project site. The role requires strict adherence to safety and operational standards.
You will conduct pre-operation checks, follow lifting plans under supervision, coordinate with rigging teams, and maintain logs while complying with QHSE policies; candidates must have a valid license and extensive field experience.
We are looking for a certified and experienced Mobile / Tower Crane Operator to safely operate cranes for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment at the project site. The operator will be responsible for ensuring all lifting activities are carried out efficiently and in full compliance with safety and operational standards.
Operate mobile or tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place equipment or materials as per site requirements.
Conduct pre-operation checks and ensure the crane is in good working condition before each shift.
Follow the lifting plan and work under the direction of the Lifting/Rigging Supervisor.
Communicate effectively with riggers, signalmen, and ground personnel during lifting operations.
Maintain accurate logs of operations, inspections, and any maintenance performed.
Ensure loads are securely rigged and balanced before lifting.
Report any mechanical issues, near misses, or unsafe conditions to the site supervisor immediately.
Adhere to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) procedures and comply with company and client safety policies.
Assist in crane setup, positioning, and dismantling when required.
Valid Crane Operator License/Certification (Qatar Traffic Department or equivalent authority).
Minimum 35 years of experience operating mobile or tower cranes in construction, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
In-depth knowledge of crane capacity charts, load charts, and lifting signals.
Understanding of rigging, lifting operations, and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret load plans, lifting drawings, and site instructions.
Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
Excellent coordination and control skills.
Strong safety awareness and communication ability.
Ability to work closely with rigging and lifting teams.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
