North Oil Company Qatar in Doha is seeking an experienced Reservoir Development Engineer to contribute to technical studies for development and recovery optimization of Al Shaheen reservoirs, feeding into FDP and appraisal opportunities.

The role emphasizes updating reservoir models, supporting in-field development targets, and providing input for ARR and LRBP with a multidisciplinary team spanning geophysics, geology and reservoir engineering.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in RE/PE preferred.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Subsurface with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and communicate effectively.

Job description

Job Purpose

PURPOSE

Contribute in technical studies for Development and Recovery optimization assigned Al Shaheen reservoir(s), integrating the lessons learned from the NWD post-mortems and the RMO well performance reports.
Contribute in the identification, maturation of Appraisal as well as Development Opportunities and feed into development projects in FDP.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Doha (Qatar) office.
Standard office hours, 5 days a week.

Key Accountabilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Under the direction of Head, Reservoir Dev. & Growth Asse team; the main accountabilities include:

• Contribute in the delivery of the reservoir engineer studies under directions from Head RDG feeding into the Field Development and Appraisal Plans
• Contribute in the update and maintenance of the full field reservoir models
• Implement Reservoir Development and Appraisal lookbacks into studies and in fullfield reservoir model updates
• Inputs for Annual Reserves (ARR) and Long-Term Plan production (LRBP) for assigned reservoir

ACTIVITIES

Technical work delivery

Technical responsibilities are:

• Contribute to define Dynamic Appraisal and Development needs including required subsurface studies for optimized recoveries.
• Provide input into Appraisal Program to unlock and de-risk future Developments under supervision from Head RDG (Assigned Asset team)
• Contribute in the maturation of the dynamic pilots, post mortems and implementation into reservoir development studies
• Work within integrated team to mature Field Development Targets and provide inputs to ensure timely submissions and approvals of Field Development Phases. Prepare input for FDP documentation (including FDP, RMP, Shareholders Quality review etc.)
• Prepare and participate into 2G&R synthesis to improve reservoir understanding and loop back knowledge into models and studies
• Provide reservoir engineering input for new projects (Workovers related to Redevelopment, New Wells, Pilots etc.) by defining the perimeter, spacing, targets, TD, data acquisition & profiles. Contribute in the Basis of design (BoD) and subsequently handing it over to New well Delivery team for SOR process maturation.
• Contribute in the construction/update of the reservoir models (static and dynamic) in close collaboration and iterations with the geophysicist, geologist and reservoir specialists
• Contribute in the dynamic model update, including use of full-field reservoir models for project maturation
• Contribute into the history match the different areas of the field dedicated to specific problematic themes
• Contribute in the history match update of the FullField Reservoir model
• Provide inputs for Annual Reserves Exercise (ARR) and Long-Term Plan production (LRBP) forecast to IPP team including quality review & consolidation

Education

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably Master’s degree (in a RE / PE subject)

Experience

• 6 years’ experience within a Subsurface organization, including experience with multi-disciplinary teams
• Proven experience of work in multidisciplinary teams, with cross-functional technical knowledge
• Ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels
• Proven communication, networking and collaboration skills
