Job summary

Airswift is seeking a QC Inspector (Welding, NDT & Painting) to work in Doha, Qatar, for a major Oil & Gas client. The role requires extensive inspection credentials and senior certifications for high-integrity projects in energy infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have long-term GCC experience, deep knowledge of welding, NDT, coating systems, and QA/QC practices, with capability to ensure conformance to global codes and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Mandatory CSWIP 3.2 / AWS-SCWI, BGAS Grade 2 / NACE Level 2, and NDT Level II (RT, MT, UT, PT) certifications; equivalent international certs accepted.
• API 570 / API 936 / RTRP inspections will be advantageous.
• Preferably trained in QA/QC functions and QMS Internal Auditor concepts.

Airswift is seeking for a QC Inspector (Welding, NDT & Painting) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Mandatory Requirements Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Senior Welding Inspector Certification (CSWIP 3.2 / AWS-SCWI), Painting Inspector Certification (BGAS Grade 2 / NACE Level 2), and NDT Level II Certification in RT, MT, UT, and PT (ASNT/ACCP) are mandatory. Equivalent international certifications are acceptable.
• API 570 / API 936 / RTRP or other API Inspector Certifications will be an advantage.
• Preferably having formal training in QA/QC functional aspects and QMS Internal Auditor.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years' experience for graduate engineers and 15 years' experience for diploma holders in a similar position within the Oil & Gas sector. GCC experience is desirable.
• Sound working knowledge in Welding, NDT, Heat Treatment, Painting, Coating, and associated Quality, Inspection, Testing requirements, and acceptance criteria related to the construction of major Oil & Gas Process Plants and Cross-Country Pipelines.
• Familiar with international codes, standards, and practices relevant to the job function, including ASTM, API, AWS, ISO, BS EN, SSPC, NACE, IOGP, Shell DEP, and MESC specifications.
• Hands-on experience in qualification, testing, and performance monitoring of Welding, NDT, Heat Treatment Procedures, RTRP, Painting/Coating Systems, Welders, NDT Technicians, Blasters, Painters, and Laminators.
• Experience in welding different materials and metallurgies, including exotic materials such as Inconel, DSS, SDSS, Ni, Cr, and various welding processes.
