Maytag Aircraft seeks a Fuel Distribution Systems Operator (FDSO) in Qatar. The role entails receiving, handling, and issuing petroleum products using Type III hydrants and associated distribution systems.
The operator will ensure safety, QA, and accurate documentation while maintaining fuel facilities and monitoring gauges and samples. Responsibilities include maintenance of bulk storage facilities, preparing transfer documents, and performing routine housekeeping on terminal and dock areas.
This is a 2-year contract at Al Udeid AB, Qatar. Housing, Utilities, Transportation and Medical/Dental insurance is provided and paid by the Company.
11 holidays, 13 days of R&R every 6 months. Income may be tax free according to the IRS rules on foreign income.

The Fuel Distribution Systems Operator (FDSO) shall be qualified to receive, handle, and issue petroleum products. He/she shall have practical experience in all facets of fuel distribution systems to include, Type III hydrants, pipeline systems, storage tanks, pumps, valves, fuel monitors and filters, used oil storage and disposal facilities. He/she shall be able to convert gauge and temperature readings to quantities of products and shall be able to perform quality assurance functions. He/she shall be able to correlate pressures, temperatures, and quantities as read from various gauges and meters normally found at a fuel facility. Operators shall have a basic understanding of written description and instructions pertaining to facility operations, shall be able to implement cyclic maintenance programs and safety programs relating to all aspects of facility operation and shall have demonstrated expertise in spill cleanup procedures, prevention and control measures, related equipment operation and maintenance. Prepare and check receiving, transfer and close out documents. Connects lines, grounding wires, and loading and off loading arms or hoses to tank truck, and barge. Visually inspects samples of fuel. Gauge tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Bulk Storage facilities. Perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance for terminal, pipeline and dock areas.
Minimum of two-years experience with Type III Hydrant systems, operating fuel bulk storage and distribution systems and equipment.
Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screening.
Must have a current Secret level clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and after hours support as needed.
