Job summary

COOEC seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to participate in procurement and manufacturing of electrical equipment, from RFQ to shipment. You will handle quality issues across stages, attend KOMs, review vendor documentation, and ensure timely PIM and NCR actions.

Strong English, problem solving, and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IEC 60079 qualification, and 8 years' experience in inspection/manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 8 years' experience in inspection/manufacturing activities.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system requirements.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, IEC 60076 or equivalent standards.
• IEC 60079 qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the procurement and manufacturing process from RFQ to shipment.
• Attend KOM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
• Review vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, reports, etc.).
• Communicate with vendor to address comments/feedback and raise clarification meetings when needed.
• Ensure PIM is held as scheduled and organize PIM meetings.
• Verify NOI readiness and coordinate with TPC inspector for vendor inspection.
• Review TPC inspection reports and comment as needed.
• Issue NCRs for discrepancies and drive vendor's corrective actions within 3 days.
• Review manufacturer's record books / as-built dossiers.

Job description

I. Job Summary

Participate in the procurement and manufacturing process of Electrical equipment (Transformer, Subsea Cable, etc. ) from RFQ to shipment, handling any quality issues (TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, Manufacturing, In-progress Inspection, Pressure Test, FAT, Final Inspection, etc.).

II. Principal Responsibilities

• To become familiar with the company's requirements
• Participate in various meetings with the Vendor/Company to ensure that the vendor knows the company's quality requirements.
• Attend KOM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
• Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, report, etc.)
• Communicate with the vendor/COMPANY regarding controversial comments or feedback, and raise a clarification meeting if necessary.
• Make every effort to ensure PIM is held as scheduled.
• Organize PIM meeting as host
• Verify NOI readiness and forward to TPC coordinator for vendor inspection
• Review and comment TPC inspection report
• Issue NCR if discrepancies are identified and expedite the vendor's resolution proposal / RCA (If necessary) within 3 working days of receiving NCR by vendor.
• Review the manufacturer's record book / As-built dossier.

III. Education/Experience Requirements/ Certification

• Shall have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
• Shall have 8 years' experience directly relating to the inspection/execution of manufacturing activities.
• Shall have knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001 quality system requirements and implementation.
• Shall demonstrate working knowledge of codes required by the purchase order, such as National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC 60076 or equivalent standards, etc.
• Shall have IEC 60079 qualification
