Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy in Qatar is seeking a Head of Quality Assurance to lead the QA function for major capital projects. You will implement quality systems across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You will manage QA engineers and coordinators, oversee audits and quality surveillance, and ensure compliance with project quality standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• 5+ years on major EPC/EPCC projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of QA management systems, auditing, quality surveillance, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain the Project Information Manual (PIM) and internal QA procedures.
• Lead QA engineers and quality coordinators and drive a culture of quality and accountability.
• Quality surveillance across project phases: engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning.
• Review and follow EPCC Contractor's Quality Gates Process to ensure alignment with QA requirements and contractual obligations.
