Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Public Relations Officer to coordinate between internal and external stakeholders on a construction project in Doha, Qatar. You will handle public inquiries, resolve complaints, translate documents, and liaise with municipalities, government bodies and embassies as needed.

The role requires 4+ years in PR and communications, fluent English and Arabic, and strong writing and editing skills.

Qualifications

• Degree with minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in public relations and communications.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle public complaints and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders for project-related PR issues.
• Open dialogue with public, residents, municipalities, MOI, traffic police and government bodies.
• Translate required documents and emails while preserving meaning.
• Handle correspondence from clients and site teams.
• Liaise with technical staff to clarify points.
• Proofread and edit translated versions for clients.
