Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in proposals, tendering, or estimation within construction, geotechnical, or marine projects.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills with attention to deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word) and familiarity with tender portals.
• Excellent written and verbal English; regional language skills are a plus.

Role Description

The Proposals Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, supporting the development of competitive technical and commercial proposals for geotechnical and marine projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing tender documents, extracting technical and commercial requirements, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to gather necessary inputs. The Proposals Engineer prepares detailed proposal documentation, including technical write-ups, cost estimates, and schedules, ensuring compliance with client specifications and company standards. The role also involves supporting sales activities by preparing bid clarifications, responding to queries, and contributing to presentations that showcase Ammico’s capabilities. The Proposals Engineer monitors proposal timelines, maintains proposal records, and continuously updates standard templates and data to improve efficiency and bid quality.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing skills, including the ability to interpret tender documents and develop clear, structured technical and commercial submissions. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines, with the ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, including basic understanding of bid strategy, pricing considerations, and client relationship support. Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills, such as coordinating vendor quotations, comparing technical and commercial offers, and supporting cost estimation. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant field) or an equivalent technical qualification. Experience in proposals, tendering, or estimation within construction, geotechnical, or marine projects is highly beneficial. Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with tender portals or document management systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage. A design / planning background is a plus.
