Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead controls on a major Cargo Terminal / International Airport project in the East Africa region. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on large international airport projects, with at least 5 years in project controls management, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience on large international airport projects.
• Experience working in an operational airport environment is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Project Controls Management.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change management, and project reporting.
• Proven experience managing project controls on large and complex projects.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant project controls and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project controls function across the project.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, baselines, and progress measurement systems.
• Monitor project progress, performance, milestones, and key deliverables.
• Oversee cost control, forecasting, and budget monitoring.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to identify schedule and cost risks.
• Prepare and review regular project controls reports, dashboards, and performance analyses.
• Implement effective change control and assess the impact of changes on cost and schedule.
• Identify potential delays, trends, and risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Ensure effective coordination between planning, cost, commercial, and project management functions.
• Provide project controls advice and reporting to senior project management and the Client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project controls activities and ensuring effective management of project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring, reporting, and performance management throughout the project lifecycle.
