Job summary

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company in Qatar is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality control and assurance across the assigned location, aligning with operations and other managers to meet customer expectations and compliance.

You will develop and implement QC plans, manage a team of QA/QC professionals, oversee audits, training, and documentation, and drive continuous improvement to ensure product quality and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enforces QA/QC plans and procedures to ensure compliance with standards, requirements and regulations.
• Ensures products meet customer expectations and quality/compliance standards.
• Conducts regular quality audits to verify adherence to standards.
• Collaborates with functional managers to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Manages non-conformance and corrective action processes.
• Maintains accurate quality documentation and records.
• Develops and delivers quality training programs for employees.
• Oversees QA/QC plans, amendments and revisions to meet project quality requirements.
• Establishes project quality objectives and monitors submittals of QA/QC reports.
• Builds and implements supplier/subcontractor control systems.
• Manages meetings with project owner/consultant and project team regarding QA/QC requirements.
• Supports HSE initiatives and incident reporting/resolution in line with policies.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and corrective actions when necessary.

Job Summary

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions of the assigned location working closely with the head of operations and other functional managers to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations, and that quality and compliance standards are met. The position holder will also develop and implement quality control plans and procedures and will manage a team of Quality Control and Quality Assurance professionals.

Job Responsibilities

• Enforces the implementation of quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures that all products delivered meet or exceed customer expectations, and that quality and compliance standards are met.
• Conducts regular quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Works closely with all functional managers to identify and resolve quality issues, and to continuously improve product quality.
• Manages the non-conformance and corrective action process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
• Ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date, and that it is stored and maintained in an appropriate manner.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs to ensure that all employees are aware of quality standards and procedures.
• Supervises all QA/QC plans as well as amendments and revisions in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.
• Establishes project quality objectives in line with IMS corporate objectives and ensure to monitor submittals of QA/QC reports.
• Builds and implements a control system for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manages/attends to all required/related meetings and arranges all project Quality requirements with the project owner/consultant and project management team.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and authorized to take corrective actions when necessary.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience in quality standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Efficient leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals to achieve project objectives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

• Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science or Engineering
• Profesional degree in Industrial Engineering or Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE).
