Job summary

McDermott International is seeking a Principal HSES Specialist to solve complex HSES problems and lead functional teams. The role requires in-depth HSES expertise across the health, safety, environment, and security disciplines, with responsibility for audits, risk management, and tender support.

You will drive HSE performance, develop procedures, and supervise HSES personnel to ensure safe, compliant project execution. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in HSES related field.
• 7-8 years of HSE experience within the energy industry.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with company, facility, and project-specific HSES terms, requirements, and deliverables.
• ISO standards lead auditor (9001, 14001, or 45001) training or certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the HSE Management System to align with requirements.
• Lead risk management and ensure effective controls.
• Manage HSES plans, procedures, and budget per contract.
• Conduct internal and supplier HSES audits and assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Provide technical and commercial support during tenders.
