Job summary

The INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LONDON in Qatar seeks a full-time Middle School Counselor on-site to support student well-being and learning. You will deliver individual and group counseling, conduct SEL activities, and respond to crises in line with ISCA standards.

You will collaborate with PSLT, teachers, and parents to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and promote an inclusive school culture, including multilingual family support and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counselling or equivalent.
• Experience in IB school setting with Middle school work experience.
• Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a culturally diverse student and parent population.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with the Primary School Leadership Team (PSLT) and Inclusion and Well-being Team.
• Provide comprehensive counselling services in accordance with ISCA standards, including individual and group counseling sessions, crisis intervention, and preventive programs.
• Conduct regular needs assessments to identify students' academic, social, and emotional needs, and develop tailored intervention plans.
• Advocate for the well-being of students by collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure that students receive the necessary support and resources to succeed academically and emotionally.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to make informed decisions about counseling strategies and interventions, with a focus on student outcomes and well-being.
• Collaborate with educational stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and external agencies, to create a collaborative and supportive environment that fosters student success and well-being.
