Job summary

American School of Doha seeks a Temporary, Long-Term Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Teacher for the Lower Elementary School. You will deliver SEL lessons, support PreK3/PreK4, and collaborate across faculty and parents to promote well-being and inclusive practices.

The role requires safeguarding students, maintaining records, and participating in school governance and professional growth within a non-exempt, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major or minor in Education or Counseling
• Teaching certificate, license (or its national equivalency) from government organization in assigned teaching field
• Experience in teaching (national and/or international) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach SEL lessons according to the adopted curriculum for PreK3 and PreK4
• Attend faculty and departmental meetings and participate in parent groups
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and report grades
• Organize and carry out professional learning and school program matters relating to diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice
