Job description

Job Purpose

The Interface Lead – Rail reports directly to the Interface Manager Rail and is accountable for the monitoring and oversight of rail projects as they are planned, construction is implemented and rail operations and systems are delivered as required for a successful 2022 World Cup QatarTM (Tournament) experience. Such rail works are considered Infrastructure under CH2M HILL’s Programme Management Consultant (PMC) scope of services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee rail projects from planning through construction to delivery.
• Ensure rail operations and systems meet required standards for the 2022 World Cup.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and delivery entities to manage delivery risks and offer timely technical solutions.

Qualifications

• BSc. degree in engineering, plus 10 or more years of relevant work experience, including both design and construction of rail projects.
• Preferred previous work experience in the State of Qatar and other GCC countries.
• High degree of technical proficiency and subject matter expertise in large and complex rail programmes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; ability to communicate in Arabic is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and influence skills to effectively engage delivery entities and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in risk management, safety, quality and sustainability aspects.
• Motivated, able to work independently, and adhere to high ethical standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a project coordination role.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Professional / Chartered.
• Preferable Civil Engineering background.

Language

• English – Very Good.
• Arabic – Fluent / Excellent.
