Job summary

Candidzone is seeking a Planner / Senior Planning Engineer in Doha, Qatar, to drive project planning, scheduling, and controls on major engineering projects. You will develop detailed schedules with Primavera P6, monitor progress, and generate EV reports to forecast outcomes.

The role requires 12–16 years in planning with strong analytics and communication skills. Experience with MS Project and Excel is essential; Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution; degree must be attestable.
• 12-16 years of relevant experience in planning/project controls.
• Working knowledge of MS Project and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of earned value management, forecasting, and delay analysis.
• AACE PSP/EVP or PMI-SP certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Monitor project progress and perform accurate progress measurement
• Prepare earned value analysis, forecasting, and project performance reports
• Conduct delay analysis and identify schedule risks and potential impacts
• Prepare and review tender schedules and baseline programmes
• Coordinate with project teams to collect progress updates and validate schedule information
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and progress reports
• Analyze schedule performance and provide recommendations to project management
• Support project controls and planning activities throughout the project lifecycle
