Job summary

Gulf Energy Technology and Projects is seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor/PTW Holder to lead piping fabrication, erection, installation, welding, testing and commissioning activities. The role focuses on tie-ins in operating NGL plants and coordination with NGL Operations.

Responsibilities include enforcing PTW procedures, supervising construction crews, interpreting P&IDs and drawings, managing MOC, and ensuring safe, on-time completion per specs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with piping/Construction focus.
• Experience in piping construction, fabrication, erection, welding, testing, commissioning, and NGL tie-in activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piping construction activities, including fit-up, erection, installation and hydrotesting.
• Ensure PTW procedures, toolbox talks, and site safety requirements are followed.
• Coordinate tie-in activities and obtain permits with NGL Operations.
• Review P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, piping layouts and MTOs.
• Manage piping fabricators, fitters, welders, and other personnel.
• MOC planning and tie-in execution in operating NGL plants.
• Monitor productivity and ensure timely completion of construction.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor/PTW Holder with strong expertise in piping fabrication, erection, installation, welding, testing, and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in operating NGL plants, including tie-in activities and coordination with NGL Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, toolbox talks, and all applicable site safety requirements.
• Supervise day-to-day piping construction activities, including:
  • Fit-up and welding.
  • Piping erection and installation.
  • Pipe support installation.
  • Hydrotesting.
  • Flushing.
  • Reinstatement.
  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Supervise and manage piping fabricators, pipe fitters, welders, and other skilled personnel.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, GA drawings, piping layouts, support drawings, and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Coordinate and monitor piping fit-up and welding activities, ensuring compliance with approved WPS requirements and welder qualification requirements.
• Plan and execute Management of Change (MOC) activities related to piping construction.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with tie-in execution in operating NGL plants.
• Work closely with NGL Operations during tie-in preparation and execution.
• Coordinate requirements for tie-in permits, permit approvals, equipment/process isolation, site preparation, execution, and reinstatement.
• Ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project schedules.
• Monitor workforce productivity and coordinate manpower requirements to ensure timely completion of construction activities.

Education & Experience:

• Relevant experience in piping construction, fabrication, erection, welding, testing, commissioning, and NGL plant tie-in activities.
