Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Pipefitter Foreman with 10-15 years of Oil & Gas experience for Qatar-related projects. The role focuses on coordinating a dependent team, distributing equipment, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution of piping works on complex offshore/onshore scopes.

Responsibilities include reading isometrics, bevels, fittings, rigging, welding, and installation, with an emphasis on heavy fabrication, site discipline, and As-Built documentation.

Qualifications

• High School/Secondary education completed.
• 10-15 years as Pipefitter Foreman in Oil & Gas.
• Proven onshore/offshore heavy fabrication, shipyards or refinery experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the pipefitting team according to the scope of work.
• Distribute equipment and supervise activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Enforce safety standards and project quality requirements on site.
• Analyze drawings, provide instructions, and ensure timely execution.
• Organise resources, coordinate with supervisor, and manage progress reporting.
• Perform toolbox talks, monitor timelines, and ensure documentation such as isometrics and as-built drawings.

Job Description:

MISSION:

• Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team based on piping Scope of Work assigned
• Distribute the equipment to allow the team to perform the assigned activities

TASKS:

• Ensure that operators and all personnel belonging to the team strictly observe applicable safety standards
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality requirements
• Analyse the drawings receiv ed from the works supervisor and give instructions to the team in order to execute the works in accordance
• Coordinate and check the work carried out by the team, reporting any difficulties to the works supervisor
• Organise al l the means, equipment and materials necessary to perform the work. Check that they comply with applicable provisions, report any anomalies and coordinate any corrective actions
• Liaise with the works supervisor in order to optimize the use of equipment and personnel
• Carry out the daily toolbox talkings
• Ensure adherence to the planned time frame
• Ensure that any approved modification made during the execution of the works is duly marked-up on the relevant drawings, in order to allow the issue of As Built documentation
• Provide the works supervisor with data on quantities produced and/or installed for updating Progress Reports and quantities accounting
• Provide the work supervisor with data on manpower, equipment, tools and material used
• Implement the permit-to-work system
• Liaise with other disciplines on ongoing operations
• Ensure housekeeping of the work location

What are we looking for?

Education: High School/Secondary

Experience: 10-15 yearsas a Pipefitter Foreman within Oil & Gas

Technical Skills:

• Experience in position 10 to 15 years
• Experience with welding application 3-5 years and above
• Knowledge of Manual SMAW/FCAW welding process
• Knowledge of Cutting and trimming applications (cold and hot cutting)
• Knowledge of Oxyacetilen cutting, Plasma cutting aplication
• Knowledge of Milling, turner, lathe machine application
• Knowledge of Drilling application
• Work experience with the following
  • Isometric,
  • Bevel designs,
  • Fittings
  • Torquering
  • Steel fabrication and erection
  • Lifting and rigging operations
  • Installation and assembly
• Work experience with the follwing materials
  • Carbon steel flowline
  • Clad
  • Iconel 625/825
  • Stainless steel 314L, 316L
• Experience proven on pipeline scope onshore and offshore
• Experience proven for Heavy Fabrication yards, Refinery, Power Plant
• Experience proven for shipyards, offshore Jacket Installation, Wind Farm Installation,
• Experience proven for Deck, Conductors, Pilling, Boat Landing installation
