Job summary

Associated Engineering Trading & Contracting W.l.l (aetc) seeks an experienced Siemens automation expert to design, configure, and commission PCS 7 systems for large-scale process automation projects in Doha, Qatar. You will work with TIA Portal, WinCC, and SIMATIC BATCH while ensuring robust integration with historian, OPC UA, and industrial Ethernet networks.

The role requires hands‑on proficiency with S7-400/300/1200/1500 controllers, strong scripting, and a strong focus on OT cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Expert hands-on experience with SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.0 and above, including Engineering System, Operator System, CFC, SFC, hardware configuration, AS/OS engineering, redundancy, diagnostics, and system commissioning.
• Strong experience with PCS 7 Advanced Process Library, Process Control libraries, Industry Libraries, faceplates, block icons, interlocks, sequences, and reusable engineering standards.
• Good hands-on experience with TIA Portal V16 and above and SIMATIC controllers including S?-400, S?-300, S?-1200, and S?-1500.
• Advanced WinCC engineering capability, including graphics, alarms, trends, tags, scripts, reports, faceplates, and customization of objects according to project requirements.
• Experience with SIMATIC BATCH configuration, recipes, unit procedures, phases, batch control, reporting, testing, and commissioning.
• Working knowledge of Siemens Process Historian and Information Server, including architecture, installation, configuration, integration, archiving, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with client-server, redundant server, virtualization, domain-based, time-synchronization, backup, restore, and OPC server architectures.
• Good knowledge of PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC/OPC UA, HART, PRP, HSR, IEC 61850, Industrial Ethernet, and third-party system integration.
• Good scripting experience using WinCC scripts, VBScript, C scripts, or other relevant automation tools.
• Awareness of OT cybersecurity requirements, including application allow-listing, system hardening, domain setup, patch management, antivirus configuration, user access control, secure remote access, and system backup

Responsibilities

• Role & responsibilities content from HTML would be mapped to brief responsibilities, e.g., design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Siemens PCS 7 systems.
• Implement and maintain WinCC graphics, alarms, trends, and reporting per project needs.
• Configure SIMATIC BATCH recipes, unit procedures, and batch control workflows.
• Support historian and information server setup, integration, archiving, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure OT cybersecurity practices, including system hardening and access controls.
• Collaborate on client-server and virtualization architectures and OPC server configurations.
• Integrate PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus, and OPC UA communications across systems.
