Job summary

Swan Global WLL in Doha is seeking a hands-on Senior PCS 7 Engineer to lead engineering configuration, testing, commissioning and handover of industrial automation projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automation, minimum 8 years of relevant experience, strong PCS 7 and WinCC/TIA Portal expertise, and proven FAT/SAT and site commissioning capability.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Control or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial automation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 V9 0 or above.
• Strong knowledge of PCS 7 Engineering System CFC SFC AS OS engineering and PCS 7 libraries.
• Experience with WinCC TIA Portal V16 or above and Siemens PLCs.
• Knowledge of SIMATIC BATCH industrial communication protocols and system integration.
• Proven experience in FAT SAT troubleshooting and site commissioning.
• Experience with industrial networking redundant systems and third-party interfaces.
• Strong technical documentation communication and customer coordination skills.
• Valid Qatar ID and local availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute PCS 7 engineering configuration testing commissioning and handover
• Develop control logic sequences interlocks HMI graphics alarms and system architecture
• Perform FAT SAT loop checks system integration and technical troubleshooting
• Prepare engineering documents test reports and as-built documentation
• Coordinate with clients consultants vendors and project teams
• Ensure project quality technical compliance and timely delivery
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support site activities
