Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha leads Siemens PCS 7 projects, spanning engineering, hardware/software configuration, testing, and on-site commissioning for medium to large automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on PCS 7 engineering and site commissioning experience.
• Experience delivering medium to large automation projects (EPC, brownfield, live-plant).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and commissioning of Siemens PCS 7 systems, including hardware and software configuration.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering documentation: cabinet arrangements, wiring/interconnections, BOM, power/heat-loads, test procedures.
• Execute system testing, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning with traceable, customer-compliant documentation.
• Develop and deliver training materials, as-built documents, and O&M manuals; provide customer training.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence across multiple projects.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and deliver solution-oriented approaches to maintain system availability.

Job description

Lead the engineering and commissioning of Siemens PCS 7 systems, including hardware and software configuration, for medium to large-scale automation projects

Prepare and review detailed engineering documentation, including cabinet general arrangements, wiring and interconnection drawings, bill of materials, power and heat-load calculations, and test procedures

Execute system testing, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning, ensuring documentation is clear, traceable, and compliant with customer requirements

Develop and deliver training materials, as-built documents, and O&M manuals, and provide customer training and knowledge transfer

Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and take ownership of quality, safety, and schedule adherence across multiple projects

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solution-oriented approaches to ensure system availability and maintainability

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum 8 years of relevant automation experience, with substantial hands-on PCS 7 engineering and site commissioning

Proven experience delivering medium to large automation projects, preferably including EPC, brownfield, migration, or live-plant modification work

Strong industry knowledge of process and infrastructure applications, such as Water and Wastewater, Power Management Systems, or Metals and Mining

Experience with Electrical Control Systems, substations, protection interfaces, and IEC 61850 integration is preferred

Excellent communication, coordination, and customer-handling skills; ability to work independently and lead a team

Valid Qatar ID and local availability are preferred

Siemens PCS 7, PROFINET/PROFIBUS, or OT cybersecurity certifications are an advantage
