Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services in Doha is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer and Dashboard Designer to lead data visualization initiatives.

The role demands 8 years in a business function with 4 in the oil and gas sector, plus deep hands-on work with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and PL-300/PL-400 considered a strong plus.

You will build interactive dashboards, models, and reports using Power BI, SQL, and SharePoint, ensuring data security and governance across projects.

Qualifications

• 8 years' experience as a Power BI Developer/Dashboard Designer or similar role.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of extensive experience developing custom Microsoft Power Platform solutions—featuring advanced proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas, Model-Driven, and Power Pages), Power Automate for process automation, and a strong technical understanding of solution management, environment governance, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• A thorough knowledge of Data and Analytics with solid experience in interactive dashboard and reports development.
• Strong IT and coordination skills.
• Enforce data security best practices
• Monitor and optimize database performance
• Strong qualitative, quantitative analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Strong skills in Power BI, MS SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Power Platform including power Apps
• Experience in Oracle's Primavera P6

• 8 years experience in business related function or discipline, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

• Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.

• Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.

• Knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines.

• SME level competence in candidate's specific business discipline.

• Knowledge of relevant business processes/procedures.

• Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.

• Strong knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g., dashboards, data analytics, SAP, etc.

• Experience supporting large scale integrated operating and executing organizations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.

Technical and Business Skills

• 8 years' experience as a Power BI Developer/Dashboard Designer or similar role — with a PL-300 certification considered a strong plus, preferably within the Oil & Gas Construction Industry.
