GGateway seeks an experienced Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant to deploy onsite in Doha, Qatar for a major client. You will administer the Hyperion EPM stack, including Essbase, Planning, FDQM and HFM, while providing functional user support to Qatar stakeholders.

Fluency in Arabic and strong English are required. The role is a 1‑year consultancy with relocation to Doha and benefits including iqama fees coverage and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in related field.
• 8–10 years’ experience with Oracle Hyperion products.
• Strong hands‑on Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning skills.
• Expert‑level Smart View and Essbase Excel Add‑in proficiency.
• Expert reporting studio writer support and data management.
• Fluent Arabic with very good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer Hyperion environment including Essbase, Planning, FDQM and HFM.
• Perform upgrades, backups, capacity management, deployments and fail‑over tests.
• Maintain multiple instance environments: production, test, DR, dev.
• Manage patches and version control for Hyperion apps.
• Ensure security and compliance for Hyperion environments.
• Manage budgeting, planning allocations and data backups.
• Create and maintain standard reports and dashboards.
• Support month‑end closing and financial processes.
• Document system administration procedures and policies.

Engagement Type: Consultancy contract, with flexible working hours to be agreed with the client

Location: Onsite in Doha, Qatar (relocation to Doha required)

Language Requirement: Bilingual – Arabic speaker required, with strong English communication skills

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant to be deployed onsite in Doha, Qatar for a leading client. The consultant will be responsible for the administration, operation, and ongoing support of the client’s Oracle Hyperion EPM environment, including Essbase, Planning, FDQM, and HFM. The role requires strong technical expertise across the Hyperion stack combined with functional support to the wider external entities user community across Qatar, and requires fluency in Arabic given the nature of local stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, with more than five years of relevant experience
• 8–10 years of experience with Oracle Hyperion products
• Strong hands‑on experience with Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning
• Expert‑level proficiency in Smart View and the Essbase Excel Add‑in
• Expert‑level proficiency in Reporting Studio writer support
• Proven ability to support external entities’ user community across Qatar
• Project management skills, including experience leading system upgrades
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent in Arabic (mandatory) with very good English communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the Oracle Hyperion environment, including Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning Server, Hyperion FDQM, and Hyperion HFM
• Carry out Hyperion environment operations activities, including upgrades, backup and recovery, capacity management, production code deployment, and fail‑over testing
• Maintain production, test, DR, and development instances of the Hyperion infrastructure
• Manage Hyperion application patch management and version control
• Manage Hyperion environment security in line with best practices and compliance requirements
• Maintain budgeting and planning allocations
• Maintain data backups and plan/execute disaster recovery practices
• Set up and maintain user access within Shared Services for Hyperion Planning and Essbase
• Deploy and maintain financial data across the Hyperion EPM suite on an ongoing basis
• Coordinate Hyperion FDMEE data loads from EBS
• Create and maintain standard reports
• Support the business in performing systematic month‑end closing processes
• Develop, update, and maintain system administration documentation
• Continuously monitor and tune Hyperion accounting/financial software packages
• Analyze Hyperion environment reports, reconciliations, and related documentation
• Develop and maintain archiving policies and processes for the Hyperion environment
• Maintain disaster recovery infrastructure for the Hyperion environment
• Plan and execute deployment of new Hyperion environments (functional and technical)
• Support Hyperion environment backup operations and testing, in coordination with the Backup Administrator
