Job summary

Avanta Works in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced Optometrist to join our clinical team. You will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, and counsel patients on vision care and correction options.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Optometry and a valid Qatar license with at least two years of practice. The role includes on-site duties and providing emergency eye care when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Optometry and a valid license to practice in Qatar.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an Optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and other conditions.
• Diagnose ocular diseases.
• Interpret diagnostic tests.
• Monitor the progress of ocular diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Fit contact lenses.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Educate patients on proper eye care techniques.
• Counsel patients regarding vision correction options such as eyeglasses or contact lenses.
• Keep patient records up-to-date.
• Provide emergency services when necessary.

Optometrist job in Doha Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional care and services related to vision and eye health, as well as diagnosing and treating of vision problems.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate the patient about their eye health. They should also be knowledgeable in the latest advances in optometry and be capable of applying them in a clinical setting. Moreover, they should have an understanding of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents used in the management of ocular disease.

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Optometry, as well as a valid license to practice optometry in Qatar. A minimum of two years’ experience as an Optometrist is also required. We are ready to consider immigrants with suitable qualifications, who can demonstrate their ability to work within our team environment.
