Job summary

A leading energy company in Qatar seeks an experienced professional to supervise the transmission and distribution of gas through central control stations. The role requires 10 years of experience in the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry, including supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong team leader with interpersonal skills and a problem-solving attitude. A B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred. The job ensures safe and efficient gas distribution essential for multiple consumers and revenue protection.

Qualifications

• 10 years in Hydrocarbon Processing Industry including at least 3 in a Supervisory position.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the transmission and distribution of gas through Central Master Control Stations.
• Monitors Pipeline Management System and Metering System at CMCS/TDOC.
• Controls manifold and let-down stations ensuring efficient operations.

Job description

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Supervises the transmission and the distribution of gas through Central Master Control Stations (CMCS), monitors Pipeline Management System (PMS) and Metering System at CMCS/TDOC, controls manifold and let-down stations, ensuring that these are working efficiently and that any faults are speedily reported and that each consumer receives sufficient to all continuity of operation. Supervises the maintenance of SCADA & PMS and ensures faults are speedily attended to for minimum outage of pipelines and stations monitoring. Supervises and coordinates the distribution of gas through stations and associated pipelines & its distribution to local customers. Ensures that gas is distributed safely and efficiently and that maximum use is made of available resources.

Develops and directs safe working practices in all areas and ensures all regulations are adhered to. Any wrong decision could result in normally shutdown of any one the consumers equivalent to several Millions/ day or shutdown of Gas distribution, which could result in revenue losses and severe downstream effect to power stations supply. The effect is also felt in all downstream consumers like QAPCO/ QAFCO / QAFAC/ Qatarenergy Refinery/ QASCO/ QEWC, QCHEM, QATARGAS, RASGAS AND QGEWC, Al Khaleej , RGPC,MPCL and Dolphin.

Experience

10 years in Hydrocarbon Processing Industry including at least 3 in a Supervisory position.
