Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise third-party contracts: security, cleaning, maintenance, buses, catering.

• Lead budgeting, procurement, and event logistics for non-academic functions.
• Line manage Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, and bus/medical staff.
• Collaborate with Extended Leadership Team on space planning and building maintenance.
• Advise Principal on resource needs and drive cost savings via vendor negotiations.

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, Qatar.

We are looking for someone to take overall responsibility for the full operational management of the campus, providing strategic leadership in health and safety, facilities management, contract management, legal and compliance requirements, campus planning, and support staff management.

The Role

• Providing strategic leadership for health and safety, facilities management, and campus planning across the school
• Leading day-to-day management of capital projects, including capex budgets, governance structures, and risk mitigation
• Overseeing campus renovations, modifications, and large-scale procurement projects, liaising with landlords, contractors, and design teams
• Managing all third-party contracts and day-to-day operations, including security, cleaning and maintenance, school buses, and onsite catering
• Ensuring compliance with all Qatar regulatory agencies, NAE standards, and legal and compliance requirements
• Leading budgeting, procurement, and event logistics across all non-academic functions of the school
• Line managing the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, bus support assistants, and medical team
• Working alongside the Extended Leadership Team on space planning, room moves, and building maintenance activities
• Advising the Principal on resource requirements and driving cost savings through vendor and supplier negotiation

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• University degree
• Previous experience in this role or a similar operations management role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High levels of personal integrity
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and remain calm
• Proactive and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines are achieved, with strong adaptability
• Qatar or regional Middle East experience (desirable)
