Job summary

Nord Anglia Education in Doha, Qatar, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of the school estate, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose. You will plan preventive maintenance, oversee reactive maintenance, coordinate inspections, and manage contractors to deliver high standards.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma and experience in complex facilities operations, with strong organisational and IT skills.

Qualifications

• A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Experience managing facilities operations within a complex operational environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programs and contractors.
• Good understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance and facilities management.
• Strong organisational, communication and IT skills.
• CFM, FMP or equivalent desirable.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or Project Management qualification desirable.
• Experience in education environment and/or GCC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the school estate to keep facilities safe and fit for purpose.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and oversee reactive maintenance.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing and certification; support audits.
• Manage contractors and service providers ensuring safe, high-quality work.
• Support refurbishment and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain asset registers, equipment records and maintenance histories.
• Support facilities budgets and procurement; identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide facilities support for school events, examinations and emergencies.
