Job summary
Telford Offshore is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to perform maintenance, testing and repair of vessel electrical systems in Doha, Qatar. You will assist the Chief Electrician in maintaining power generation and distribution, troubleshooting motors, switchboards and MCCs, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Responsibilities include fault-finding, maintaining emergency systems, supporting DP trials and ensuring accurate documentation of all inspections and repairs.
Qualifications
- Must hold an Electro Technical Rating certificate as per STCW III/7.
- Valid offshore medical certificate is required.
- Experience with electrical maintenance on marine/offshore vessels is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical equipment onboard.
- Assist Chief Electrician to ensure safe, reliable operation of power generation and distribution systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, switchboards, transformers and MCCs.
- Perform electrical fault-finding and report defects promptly.
- Support DP trials, class surveys and safety audits as required.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance and tests.
