Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Project Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation for offshore EPC projects. You will coordinate E&I engineering, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specs, client standards, and international codes.

The role requires strong multidisciplinary coordination, offshore experience in E&I systems, and hands-on support for testing, commissioning, and handover activities, reporting to the E&I Lead Engineer or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years EPC project experience, with at least 4 years offshore E&I.
• Sound knowledge of offshore electrical distribution systems (LV/MV), control systems, safety systems, and instrumentation.
• Familiar with hazardous area equipment, Ex certification.
• Proficient in project engineering tools (SmartPlant, SPI/Intools, AutoCAD, Aconex, MS Office).
• Good understanding of fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes for offshore facilities.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor, and coordinate E&I engineering deliverables such as diagrams, schedules, layouts, and control philosophies.
• Ensure designs comply with client specifications and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, API, ISA).
• Interface with process, mechanical, and civil disciplines for system integration.
• Review vendor drawings for electrical equipment and instruments.
• Verify offshore suitability including hazardous area classification (Ex).
• Prepare Material Requisitions, perform Technical Bid Evaluations, and select vendors.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure on-time delivery of E&I equipment.
• Monitor vendor progress, witness FATs, and maintain documentation for handover.
