Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks an experienced environmental professional to implement and manage Company Environmental Management Programs in Qatar, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of EMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
• 6 years of relevant environmental management experience.

Job description

• Implement Company Environmental Management Programs to ensures compliance with State of Qatar Regulatory Requirements and improve environmental performance

• Support Head of Operations, engineers, Analysts, to advance the Company environmental agenda and implement Company Environmental Management Programs.
• Contribute to the establishment, maintenance and improvement of Environmental Management Programs to fulfil environmental permit, legal and other requirements as well as Company's Environmental Management System guidelines.
• Implement requirements of monitoring programs for emissions and discharges and supports environmental reporting, including monthly, quarterly and other adhoc reporting to regulators and stakeholders in accordance with environmental legal and other requirements and Company Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Support the maintenance of the Company Environmental Management System (EMS), including audits and Qatargas Management System (QGMS) implementation as applicable, to facilitate compliance with environmental regulations, permit requirements and ISO 14001 EMS guidelines.
• Provide technical input on specific environmental focus areas, programs and emerging issues, as assigned by supervisor to fulfil permit, regulatory and/or other operational environmental requirements.
• Coordinate and implement environmental studies, projects and contracts as and when required to comply with permit and/or other environmental and operational requirements. Performs site surveys and assessments to support studies to control discharges, emissions and wastes.
• Promote environmental awareness through Company operations to enhance compliance with Company's environmental requirements. Supports Company participation in environmental initiatives and projects with other companies and/or shareholders, including sustainability reporting, with the aim of improving Company's environmental performance and reputation.
• Supervise environmental technicians and ensure regulated environmental monitoring activities are timely completed.
• Inspects Operations and projects construction/installation work on-site to ensure that activities are complying with environmental requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering.
• 6 years' relevant experience working in a world class organization in the environmental arena, in management of facility Environmental Management Programs.
• Advanced knowledge across environmental specializations, expert knowledge desirable in at least one media (air, water, soil)
• Technical expertise in environmental, regulatory affairs and/or engineering disciplines.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organisational levels.
• Strong analytical and problem solving and report writing skills.
• Audit/assessment skills using auditing management system

• Salary:
