Job summary

KBR, Inc in Qatar seeks a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting in continuous operation plants. You will work on pumps, blowers, valves, vessels, exchangers, and other static equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

You will follow SOPs, read mechanical drawings and datasheets, handle tools safely, and maintain high HSEQ standards. A technical diploma and at least 5 years in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical environments are required.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in respective trade (12+3 years).
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industries.
• Experience maintaining pumps, valves, vessels, exchangers, pipes and other static equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance and Troubleshooting activities in continuous operation plants.
• Installation, removal and fixing back of pumps & blowers; maintenance of valves, vessels, columns, exchangers, pipes, and other static equipment.
• Carry out maintenance activity independently as necessary.
• Handle different types of tools and work at height with safety equipment.
• Rotating equipment maintenance activities.
• Check work quality and rectify faults per procedures and standards.
• Understand Isometrics, mechanical drawings and datasheets.
• Clean, preserve and maintain removed parts.
• Maintain good HSEQ record.
• Read, understand, and execute jobs per SOP/work instruction.
