Job summary

KBR Careers in Qatar is seeking an Instrument Technician to perform hands-on maintenance, calibration, testing, and configuration of instrumentation in a fertilizer/O&G setting. The role requires experience with transmitters, switches, analyzers, and vibration probes, plus strong written and spoken English.

Shifts involve on-site work in a large-scale process plant with strict safety and PPE requirements, and a focus on installation, removal, and adjustment of instrumentation as per machine

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation.
• Experience with transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation, and valves.
• Awareness of safety requirements in large process industries and PPE usage.
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Shall troubleshoot, inspect, test, and maintain instruments including transmitters, switches, analyzers and vibration instrumentation.
• Calibrate, configure, and test instruments using test instruments and calibration procedures.
• Remove, install, and adjust vibration probes as per machine requirements.
• Prepare basic reports and communicate findings in English.

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.# **Responsibilities:*** Shall have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of the following types of Instruments* Transmitters (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature)* Switches (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature)* Analyzers (pH and Conductivity)* Vibration Instrumentation (Accelerometers, Velometers, Proximity Probes, Speed Probes, Proximitors)* Valves (Control Valves, On-Off Valves, Solenoid Valves)* Valve Accessories (Solenoid Valves, Valve Pneumatic and Electropneumatic Positioners, Pneumatic Relays, Air Regulators and Filters, Lubricators) + Shall have hands-on experience in the usage of Hand tools + Shall have hands-on experience in the usage of Test Instruments in calibration, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing of instruments + Shall have hands-on experience in the removal, installation, and adjustment of vibration probes as per machine requirement + Shall have the proven competency and experience as required in the relevant Scope of Work + Shall have basic report-writing skills + Shall be able to communicate well in written & spoken English. + Shall have an awareness about safety requirements of working in a Fertilizer Plant + Shall be well versed with work permit system in large scale process industries* Shall have an awareness with PPEs used in a Fertilizer Plant**Qualifications:*** Technical Diploma in respective trade (12+3 years)* 05 years relevant and hands-on experience in respective trade, in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency.
