Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks a Key Expert – Maternal and Child Health Expert (Cat. II) to provide strategic and technical support to the Syrian Ministry of Health, strengthening maternal and child health services, nutrition programming, and health systems within a humanitarian-development context.

The role requires 10+ years in development or public health with leadership in large programmes and experience with multi-partner donor-funded initiatives, including UNICEF/WFP/UNFPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health, or a related field.
• Strong project management, organisational and planning skills.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and support project teams and government counterparts.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance for large-scale, multi-partner nutrition or health programmes.
• Work in the public health/nutrition sector in Syria, understanding health systems and humanitarian-development nexus.
• Demonstrate experience in maternal and child health and/or nutrition.
• Provide strategic technical advice and translate evidence into policy and program decisions.
• Review technical programme designs, theories of change and implementation plans.
• Contribute to donor-funded programmes including UNICEF, WFP or UNFPA.
