Job summary

NAKILAT is seeking a Training and Career Development Specialist to oversee seafarers’ development, certification compliance, and progression programs. The role involves coordinating training, tracking qualifications, and ensuring alignment with STCW and company standards.

You will design structured training plans, assess performance, and mentor cadets onboard, driving transparent promotion paths and continuous improvement across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience designing training programs for seafarers.
• Ability to develop career pathways across ranks and roles.
• Capability to manage performance appraisal processes and links to development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Training Needs Analysis across seafarer ranks.
• Maintain training matrix for STCW and company CBT.
• Create individual training plans aligned to regulatory and operational needs.
• Coordinate with internal/external training providers.
• Monitor training completion and certification validity.
