Job summary

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) invites applications for a faculty position in Marine Engineering to join its range of diploma, degree, and graduate programs. You will develop, deliver, and evaluate courses, including labs, simulations, and practics, to provide applied learning aligned with UDST standards.

The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other institutions, supervise final year projects, and advance applied research.

Qualifications

• PhD in Marine Engineering or closely related field from internationally recognized institution.
• Minimum five years of academic experience after the PhD.
• Minimum three years of industrial experience related to the field.
• Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ability to use diverse teaching approaches including labs, simulations, and practicums.
• Strong digital literacy and use of educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate courses within Marine Engineering and related programs.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning environment resources.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in advisory committees.
• Coordinate and supervise final year projects.
• Maintain course portfolio documents for program review and accreditation.
• Contribute to applied research and innovation.
