Job summary

Galfar Engineering and Contracting W.L.L. is seeking a senior professional to develop and maintain the data centre capacity planning roadmap, forecasting future power, space, and cooling needs to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

You will oversee the design and implementation of data centre upgrades and expansions, coordinating with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10-18 years of progressive experience in data centre operations, facilities management, or strategic planning.
• Proven track record in capacity planning, space, power, and cooling management.
• Expertise in data centre design principles, infrastructure technologies (e.g., UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units), and TIA-942 standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the data centre capacity planning roadmap and forecasting.
• Oversee upgrades and expansions coordinating with engineering and vendor teams.
• Establish capacity management policies to optimize resources and reduce risk.
• Conduct site selection analyses for new facilities evaluating power, connectivity, and risk.

Oversee the design and implementation of data centre facility upgrades and expansions coordinating with engineering operations and vendor teams to meet project timelines and budget

Establish and enforce capacity management policies and procedures optimizing resource utilization and minimizing operational risks

Conduct thorough site selection analysis for new data centre facilities evaluating factors such as power availability network connectivity and geographic risk

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 10-18 years of progressive experience in data centre operations, facilities management, or strategic planning.

Proven track record in capacity planning, space, power, and cooling management within large-scale data centre environments.

Expertise in data centre design principles, infrastructure technologies (e.g., UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units), and TIA-942 standards.
