Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, balanced, well produced, viewer focused programmes.
• Ensure content aligns with editorial standards and ethics.
• Decide on the editorial lines of the day and direct the team to achieve it.
• Participate in editorial meetings and propose story ideas.
• Discuss ideas with news teams and producers and decide on stories for the day.
• Write scripts, openings and closings for programmes and edit videos.
