Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar is seeking an experienced professional to lead the capture, dissemination, and use of lessons learned across PMTs and Operations. You will ensure quality and consistency before handover to Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering and 8+ years in Oil & Gas across PM, Engineering, Construction, and Procurement, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required.
• 8+ years’ Oil & Gas experience across PM, Engineering, Construction, and Procurement.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/oversight role, including contractor, subcontractor, service, or vendor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Lessons Learned implementation across PMTs and Operations.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and PMS requirements.
• Develop standardized Lessons Learned plans, registers, and templates.
• Facilitate Lessons Learned workshops at key project stages.
• Communicate key lessons for timely project and operational application.
• Standardize lesson wording for clarity and consistency.
• Track monthly Lessons Learned reporting and management updates.
• Maintain the Lessons Learned library, dashboard, and tracking system.
• Train PMT personnel on Lessons Learned procedures.

Facilitate the optimum identification, collection, dissemination and use of lessons learned by the Project Management Teams (PMT) during execution of complex major projects to allow for improvement and optimisation opportunities for other existing and future major projects. Ensure quality and consistency of lessons captured and collated prior to handing over asset to Operations.

Skills and Competencies

• Oil & Gas experience with operators, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies.
• Experience in large-scale Operations, Projects, or Subsurface organizations.
• Knowledge of project gating, execution planning, risk/change management, commissioning, and handover.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards and specifications.
• LNG facilities experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
