Job summary

Vodafone Qatar is seeking a legal counsel to coordinate internally and ensure compliance with local law and Vodafone Qatar standards. You will review documents, conduct legal research, and support business stakeholders on regulatory matters.

The role involves drafting, negotiating, and advising on critical projects, with emphasis on English and Arabic communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
• Postgraduate degree preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant quality corporate/commercial legal experience (telecom experience preferred).
• Legal specialist/ expertise with fluency in both English and Arabic and excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams to prepare communications and ensure alignment with Vodafone Qatar standards and local law.
• Review legal documentation for accuracy and alignment with Vodafone Qatar policies.
• Provide legal research and support to the business and department head in engagements with internal stakeholders.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on business-critical operation projects.
• Advise on legal risks and resolution strategies when customers' terms deviate from Vodafone Qatar's standard terms.
• Assist in evaluating and preparing submissions relating to key matters and proposed legislation/regulation.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Job description

• Coordinate with key internal as required preparing communication drafts inside and outside the company. Reviews the accuracy and alignment of legal documentation with Vodafone Qatar standards, polices aligned with local law.

• Review the legal documentations and provide legal research required for legal adviceand support to both the business and the department Head in engagements with internal stakeholders regarding legal matters.

• Provide legal support, including coordinating drafting, negotiating, and advising on business-critical business operation projects

• Research and provide advise the business on all legal aspects and drafting any related legal documents.

• Advise stakeholders of legal risks and appropriate resolution strategy when customers' terms and conditions deviate from Vodafone Qatar's standard customer terms and conditions, in coordination with Legal director.

• Assist in supporting the evaluation and preparation of submissions relating to key matters and proposed legislation/regulation.

• Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent

• Postgraduate degree preferred

• 2 to 3 years of relevant quality corporate/commercial legal experience as part of a large corporate or private practice firm (telecom experience preferred)

• Legal specialist/ expertise as a core competence with fluency in both English and Arabic and an excellent written/ oral communication and interpersonal skills
