Job summary

UCC Holding is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering for Power & Digital Infrastructure EPC Projects in Qatar. The role emphasizes reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations and equipment supports, with strong coordination across electrical, mechanical, civil and geotechnical teams.

The successful candidate will review calculations and drawings, support construction, and deliver engineering from FEED through handover on major power and digital infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations and equipment supports.
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE or equivalent.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering activities from FEED/concept through detailed engineering, construction and handover.
• Develop and review structural calculations, design criteria, drawings and specifications.
• Design and review reinforced-concrete structures, structural steel, foundations, equipment supports and utility structures.
• Review transformer, generator, switchgear and other equipment foundations.
• Coordinate structural requirements with equipment vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review vendor documents, technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and technical queries.
• Support Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations for structural packages.
• Provide technical support to construction teams and resolve site structural issues.
• Participate in design, constructability and value-engineering reviews.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, quality and HSE requirements.
• Lead and mentor structural engineers and designers.

Position: Lead Structural Engineer – Power & Digital

Project: Power & Digital Infrastructure EPC Projects

Location: Qatar / Project-Based

Position Summary:

UCC Holding is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering, design coordination, technical review, construction support, and engineering delivery for major Power & Digital Infrastructure EPC Projects.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in EPC/EPIC/turnkey projects, with expertise in reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, equipment supports and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum 12–15+ years of experience in structural / civil engineering.
• Strong experience in EPC, EPIC, turnkey, industrial, power or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel and foundation design.
• Experience with equipment foundations, transformer/generator foundations, electrical buildings, substations and utility structures.
• Experience reviewing structural calculations, drawings, specifications, shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Strong knowledge of wind, seismic, equipment, dynamic and other applicable structural loads.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE or equivalent.
• Strong coordination experience with electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural and geotechnical disciplines.
• Experience with power, industrial, infrastructure or data-center/digital infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
