Job summary

Parsons in Qatar is seeking a Structure Design Manager to lead a large team of structural engineers and digital delivery specialists on major infrastructure projects. You will guide the end-to-end design process from concept through detailed design and construction support, setting technical direction and BIM-enabled delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• 15 years of related work experience in structural design.
• Experience in design of transportation structures such as bridges and underpasses.
• UPDA registration or eligibility to obtain within onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of structural engineers and digital delivery specialists.
• Review designs to ensure codes, standards and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable.
• Make staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development for staff.
• Define discipline design organization including scope, criteria, schedules, and procedures.
• Determine budget estimates and staffing for the defined scope and schedule.
• Supervise production of project drawings and design calculations.
• Promote technical excellence and quality improvement on the project.
• Coordinate discipline design work with project staff and other engineers.
