Job summary

Bureau Veritas seeks a Senior Inspector – Mechanical & Coating to lead inspection programs for oil & gas clients. You will manage mechanical/coating inspections, review design drawings, and ensure compliance with ASME, API, and ISO standards in a key leadership role.

With 10+ years in inspection, you will mentor teams, perform witness inspections, and deliver comprehensive technical reports. Bachelor’s in Mechanical Eng and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP 3.2.2 (Coating Inspection) current and valid.
• BGAS Grade 2 current and valid.
• ASNT NDT Level 2 current and valid (minimum one method).
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on oil & gas inspection experience.
• Proficiency with ASME, API, ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed mechanical inspections of equipment, vessels, piping, and structures.
• Oversee coating inspections including surface preparation, application, and DFT/adhesion testing.
• Execute NDT activities such as ultrasonic thickness and radiography interpretation.
• Document inspection findings with photographs and detailed reports.
• Review technical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior inspectors and conduct witness inspections for clients.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
