Job summary

Ably Resources is looking for a Materials Engineer to join a leading energy giant in Qatar. In this role, you will ensure the technical integrity of plant equipment, materials, and spare parts across the procurement and maintenance lifecycle.

You will conduct technical evaluations of vendor bids, review documentation, and approve manufacturing drawings. The ideal candidate has a degree in Materials Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain, maintenance, or engineering.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or technical leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of international engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical evaluations of vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve specifications and equipment reliability.
