Job summary

Petrotec in Qatar is seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment / Centrifugal Pumps Technician to lead maintenance, repair, overhaul, and service of rotating equipment, focusing on centrifugal pumps. You will work in both workshop and field settings under guidance of engineers and supervisors.

Responsibilities include dismantling, inspection, alignment, testing, installation and commissioning, plus documenting service reports, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on centrifugal pump maintenance (API 610)
• Experience leading workshop and field service activities
• Extensive on-site maintenance experience in Middle East oil & gas or related sectors
• Ability to mentor junior technicians
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead workshop and site maintenance for rotating equipment, mainly centrifugal pumps
• Plan and prepare equipment, tools, materials and spares
• Install, remove, overhaul and replace centrifugal pumps at client sites
• Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators and laser systems
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and propose corrective actions
• Maintain service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensure compliance with procedures, OEM recommendations and HSE
• Maintain proper use and storage of tools and equipment
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and engineers
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors and customers to deliver quality solutions
