Job summary

Commercial Bank in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to ensure operational soundness and drive excellent client experience in line with SOPs and QCB regulations. The role provides operational leadership, supervises staff, and oversees branch transactions, risk controls, training, and service quality to maintain CBQ's branch performance and compliance standards.

• Leadership and people management skills are essential.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations and customer service excellence.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and risk controls in banking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain branch operational soundness in line with SOPs and QCB regulations.
• Provide operational support to deliver high-level service and client experience.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, processes, SLAs; perform spot checks.
• Process daily financial and non-financial transactions; approve/reject documents via scanner.
• Manage premises, vault cash, managers cheques, teller activity rechecks.
• Oversee branch opening/closing, security alarms, branding and branch literature.
• Handle customer complaints and coordinate resolution with departments.
• Monitor Money Laundering risk in account openings and daily transactions.
• Provide training and refresher sessions to branch staff.
• Assist and replace Branch Manager during leave.
• Supervise subordinates and provide on-the-job training.
• Drive branch performance, customer service, and channel initiatives (ATMs, POS, etc).
