Job summary

GETC GROUP is seeking a Full-time on-site Landscape Engineer to plan, design, and supervise projects from parks to commercial spaces in Qatar. You will prepare drawings, planting plans, irrigation designs, and technical specs, coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure requirements are met.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in landscape engineering or related field, with experience in landscape design, irrigation, and site supervision, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
• Experience in landscape design, irrigation systems, and site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, or other landscape design software.
• Knowledge of local landscape standards, irrigation systems, and plant species.
• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in outdoor and construction site environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise landscape projects including parks, gardens, public spaces, residential compounds, and commercial developments.
• Prepare landscape drawings, layouts, planting plans, irrigation designs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Supervise landscape construction activities, including softscape and hardscape works.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Inspect and evaluate soil conditions, drainage systems, irrigation networks, and plant health requirements.
• Select suitable plant species, trees, shrubs, turf, and ground covers based on environmental and project conditions.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and work schedules.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports, snag lists, and completion reports.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure long-term sustainability and appearance of landscaped areas.
• Manage project budgets, material quantities, and resource requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site supervisors, foremen, and landscape workers.
• Resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality and timelines.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with stakeholders regarding project progress and requirements.
