Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) in Qatar is seeking a Commis I to support kitchen operations and assist in food preparation. You will help maintain a clean, organized work area and follow recipes to ensure consistent quality.

With supervision, you will perform basic cooking tasks, plate and garnish dishes, and communicate with team members to ensure timely service. A minimum 3 years in a kitchen is preferred, GCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year(s) working experience, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus.
• Understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution.
• Knowledge of food safety, storage, and temperature control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and portioning meats.
• Execute simple cooking tasks under supervision of senior chefs.
• Follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Plate and garnish dishes to meet presentation standards.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate service.
• Collaborate to ensure smooth workflow and timely orders.
• Monitor cooking temperatures and times for consistency.
• Participate in training to improve culinary skills.
• Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen management.
• Maintain positive attitude and comply with policies.
• Support other duties as assigned.
